The Vancouver B-Movie Factory was created to give back to the local community. We offer people of varying level of experience the opportunity to take part in various aspect of the filmmaking process and being in a TV studio.

We meet up at least once a week to make a film and a few times a month to film our TV show on Shaw TV. If you want to join us, all you have to do is show up to one of our meetings.

Production Night

We brainstorm our movies and pick our crew every wednesday evening. On certain wednesdays, we film the meetings for our TV show. We usually meet at our club house, but locations can change.

Shaw TV Studio Evening

Twice a month we meet at Shaw TV in the studio to tape our show. If you have ever wanted to try camera, sound, floor directing, and other things in a TV studio then come out and join us!

Shoot Day

Once we decide what happens at our production night, we shoot our movie on the weekend. It’s usually a 4+ hour shoot day at various locations. You can stay for the whole thing or just for a few hours.

Edit Evening

We meet once a month to edit our feature film.  The film has been shot, and now it’s time to edit! Everyone is invited to take part in editing a portion of the film. So if you’ve always wanted a chance to take the raw footage and build it into a scene, now’s your chance. Please bring a portable hard drive or USB thumb drive so we have something to give you video footage on.

Sci-Fi Web Series

It is time to do a script read of our next episode for Our own Sci Fi Web Series. This is the day we make the decisions on who will be doing what and what we will be doing on shoot day. If your an actor, all parts are taken. But, you never know when a role will open up! Anything you want to do is going to be helpful.

B-Movie Night

We watch B-Movies every month at Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre. It’s nice to sit back with some popcorn and watch old school b-movies and laugh!

Lunch, Dinner and Events

We organize lunch, dinner, and attend events for our members to socialize and get to know each other better. It’s sometimes hard to chat while we are in production mode!

IMBD Credits

Anyone who participates on The Vancouver B Movie Factory show potion can get IMBD credits because we are broadcasted on TV. Ask one our members at the meetings for more details.
